Tables that survive, from draft to your CMS
Articles can now include real tables for comparisons, pricing tiers and specs. They show in the editor, keep their shape when you edit, and publish as proper tables wherever your CMS can hold one, with a readable list where it cannot.

Comparison, pricing and spec articles read better with a table. Evergreen articles can now include real ones, and they stay tables from the first draft to your site.
When the writer uses a table
Tables are used sparingly, only where they help the reader:
- the content compares 3 or more items across 2 or more attributes
- at most 2 tables in an article
- short cells, with a header row
In Evergreen
Tables show as tables in the article view, and keep their shape when you edit the article in the editor.
On your site

| Platform | What you get |
|---|---|
| WordPress | A real table |
| Shopify | A real table |
| Ghost | A real table |
| Custom webhook | A real table |
| Webflow | A readable list: the row label in bold, then bullets |
| Wix | Tables are never split across long articles |
| Sanity | A list by default, or table blocks when you turn them on |
Webflow gets the list because its rich-text field cannot hold tables.
Sanity table blocks
Sanity publishing turns tables into lists by default. To publish @sanity/table blocks instead, turn on Sanity table blocks in the connection's field mapping. The block shape is detected automatically from your existing posts.
